Bob Stoops Named XFL Dallas Head Coach

Watch out Dallas, there’s a new sheriff in town. Today, during a 2pm press conference Oliver Luck formally announced Bob Stoops as the first head coach/general manager of the yet to be named Dallas franchise (come on XFL, people want to buy gear already!). As of this posting, there is no time frame for which the XFL will start naming other head coaches.

Bob Stoops has a track record of success. In his eighteen years as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, he had an impressive record of 190-48, 10 Big 12 titles, 9-9 bowl game record and 1 national title (2000). Stoops retired from Oklahoma in 2017.

Were very intrigued by this announcement. Stoops will bring his high energy sideline presence to a league that wants to come out of the gates on fire. Watch out for Dallas to light up the scoreboard and fly around on defense. Stoops himself played football for Iowa as a defensive back and takes that side of the ball seriously.
